Vancouver Pt 2, Farewell Oma

Friday (April 29) dawned clear and cool in Vancouver. After the viewing at the church, the family and some friends gathered at the graveside. Les Peters (son-in-law), grandsons Johnny, Jeremy and Dave Peters, Joshua Langemann and Pastor James Wittenburg served as the pallbearers.
Pastor James Wittenberg led the service.
Rita offered a beautiful prayer of thanks and remembrance. Memories of Albert (Oma's son, Josh's Dad) were in our hearts at this time as well.

One of the nieces brought some freshly picked flowers from the garden to lay on the casket. Oma loved flowers.
"The love of God is greater far, than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win,
His erring child, He reconciled and pardoned from his sin.
O love of God, how rich and pure, how measureless and strong;
It shall forevermore endure the saints and angels song."

Farewell for now, Oma.
We will see you again, on the other side of the River.
You will be remembered with love in our hearts.
Thank you for the beauty you brought to our lives.
